“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.
Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord.” – Ephesians 5:19
At FBCW, we love to sing. And we especially love to sing praise. When we join together in worship as a congregation, we sing songs both old and new…the treasured hymns of old and the worship songs of today. Under the direction of Suzy Coe, the worship choir sings an anthem each Sunday at both the 8:30 and 11:00 services, and they also lend their voices to various seasonal performances throughout the year.
The choir practices on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 in the choir room and has tackled a wide variety of musical styles, from southern gospel to contemporary to classic hymns. In recent months the choir has grown. The sense of being a bit crowded on Wednesday nights has added to an air of excitement within the choir family. Somehow, there is always room for new people to join, and the choir is always delighted to welcome them.
The choir is accompanied on the piano by Barbara Thomas…
…and on the organ by Jennifer Newkirk.
